Welcome to “Incubate Fund Asia Portfolio Gathering 2026” event!

The Portfolio Gathering is an annual off-site event among Incubate Fund India/Asia portfolio founders to build a strong relationship, learn each other, and have fun together!

Day 2 (Friday, October 9)

• Day 2 event starts at 1pm at Karuizawa Prince Hotel West. Door open from 12:00.

Travel Date: October 9, 2026

Route: Tokyo Station → Karuizawa Station

Line: Hokuriku Shinkansen

Hokuriku Shinkansen Schedule

This train schedule is for reference only. The actual train schedule will be released on September 9.

The conference venue is located about 15 mins on foot, 5 minutes by taxi from Karuizawa station.

Train Travel Time: Approx. 1–1.5 hours

Tickets for October 9 will go on sale on September 9 at 10:00 AM (JST). We recommend booking a reserved seat in advance through JR-EAST Train Reservation.

How to book your Shinkansen Ticket

Option 1 – Paper Ticket

1. Go to JR-EAST Train Reservation.
2. Click Purchase tickets under “Customers who do not have a pass and Welcome Suica mobile users” and search by station for:
   • From: Tokyo
   • To: Karuizawa
   • Date: October 9, 2026
3. Select train and reserve your seat.
4. Complete the booking online.
5. After arriving in Japan, pick up your paper ticket at a designated JR East Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machine or JR EAST Travel Service Center.
6. Please collect your ticket before boarding the Shinkansen.

Option 2 – Welcome Suica Mobile (Only available for iPhone Users)

1. Download Welcome Suica Mobile and set up your Suica on your iPhone.
2. Go to **JR-EAST Train Reservation, c**lick Purchase tickets under Customers who do not have a pass and Welcome Suica Mobile users and search for:
   • From: Tokyo
   • To: Karuizawa
   • Date: October 9, 2026
3. Select train and reserve your seat.
4. Link your Welcome Suica Mobile to your Shinkansen reservation.
5. On the day of travel, simply tap your iPhone at the Shinkansen ticket gate. No paper ticket is required.

Option 3 - Purchase Your Ticket at the Station

While we recommend booking your ticket in advance, you can also purchase your Shinkansen ticket directly at Tokyo Station on the day of travel or in advance.

1. Go to a JR Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machine or JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-Madoguchi) at Tokyo Station.
2. Select or ask for a ticket from Tokyo to Karuizawa on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
3. If reserved seats are still available, you can purchase a reserved-seat ticket for your preferred train.
4. If reserved seats are sold out, you may purchase a non-reserved-seat ticket for a train that has non-reserved seating. Please note that a seat is not guaranteed, especially during busy periods.

Tip: We recommend arriving at Tokyo Station at least 1 hour before departure, especially if you plan to purchase or pick up your ticket at the station. As October 9 falls just before a long weekend, booking a reserved seat in advance is highly recommended.
